Lighten up! Stories to enlighten you and lighten your day.

Bring Jonah to your class, and learn that this short book is about far more than the “whale.” Here’s a bit of the story as Anne tells it: “Jonah loved his job. Jonah was a prophet, and he thought that was the best job anyone could have. But then—the Lord called him to Ninevah. Ninevah! Jonah didn’t want to go to Ninevah!” A lively, interactive presentation with a puppet introduction, listeners become raptly involved and learn how God stretches us beyond our human limits. For small to medium audiences of all ages.

Testimonials

"All age groups' attention was held for more than 30 minutes. And, when it came time for questions, the teachers asked so many the kids hardly got a chance to ask theirs."
Sue Shackelford, Director Religious Education, Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence, KS.
"This presentation [St Clare]gives a living, breathing presence to two of our most interesting saints. A real discussion producer for adult education groups."
The Rev. Holly Hutchens (ret), former Interim Rector, St Michael & All Angels, Mission, KS.
“We still have my son's craft that Anne created
with the children along with her story about Pentecost. My child and I
got to have a conversation about the Holy Spirit after Anne came to our
church!”
Trish Klein, DRE, Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence, KS.
“I asked the [children] and said, ‘Did you like the stories?’ Their immediate response was YES, and “I would like to have that lady back.” Thanks, Anne, for your generosity in sharing your storytelling gifts with us.”
Eileen Roddy-Phillips, former Pastor for Education, St. Margarets Episcopal Church, Lawrence, Kansas.
