Bible stories:
Bible stories come alive when Anne vividly tells. She brings in aspects of stories most of us didn't know (Where is Ninevah, anyway. and why didn't Jonah want to go there?), and even well-known aspects become real (Watch the lawyer, unable to force out "the Samaritan" finally substitute "He who had mercy on him." Bible and other Sacred Stories are wonderful discussion starters and celebrations.
For all ages Jonah Peter and Cornelius Woman at the well The Good Samaritan Miriam’s Song (The Exodus) Jacob and Esau Elijah and the widow Joseph and his brothers The Wedding Feast (an interpretation of this puzzling tale that shows God’s generosity)

Basically True Tales :
Listeners of any age will no longer think of people of the past as somehow less than real. Events as momentous as the Revolutionary and Second World Wars, as small and personal as dealing with a skunk who slips in the coal chute and falls asleep in the ash pit of a coal furnace all bring memorable people to audiences. Anne's scholarship brings accurate background to the historical tales.
Martin Luther King
Jackie Robinson
Harriett Tubman
Francis and Clare of Assisi Deborah Sampson, who fought in the Continental Army (ages 9 and up) The Skunk in the Basement The Skunk in the House The Run-Away Bride (World War II history with a personal slant) “It’s very easy to bring a cat back from Mexico . . .”
